Organized by the Smart Mobility Forum and the Association of Traffic Engineers and Mobility Technicians, from October 8 to 10, 2019, the National Mobility Congress took place in Madrid, at Ifema, within the framework of TRAFIC. It brought together actors from the various fields of Mobility and during 15 sessions current issues related to infrastructures, vehicles, drivers, operators, road safety, the environment, the autonomous car, etc.
The main objective of the event was to promote a comprehensive vision of mobility with the perspective and work of such diverse actors, in addition to trying to bring them together for the first time in an event of these characteristics in Spain. The attendance of nearly 800 people at the event speaks of the success and opportunity of the event.
Representatives of the main state, regional and local authorities responsible for leading mobility participated in the Opening. Their presence and messages helped to focus the content of the discussions from the beginning.

The congress opted for a format of a single room that, although it reduced the number of participants in the program, guaranteed a common space and avoided the development of parallel sessions that, in addition to dividing the attendees, could compete with other appointments of reference of the different areas of mobility.
Parking, Credit Card in Public Transport, Urban Distribution of Merchandise, Use of Models in Mobility Management and Planning, Urban Road Safety were the Sessions of Wednesday 9 and a clear example of the diversity of topics that are very difficult to analyze in the same day, since they usually interest very different audiences. Although there was a significant turnover among those attending the various sessions, there was also a permanent public interested in a broad vision of mobility that highly valued the diversity of topics and approaches.
